J-10 Preparations

We are still facing last minute problems : teardown sail, leaking with the gas pumps and lots more which needs reparations, delay in deliveries of important technical/electronic material and missing spare parts.  We have to be confident that everything will be on board on time!
All electricity, storage and others have been revised.
Will be finishing all our check-up list next week : installation last deliveries, food supplies, refueling, etc...
For our time at sea : lots of books, playing cards,
cameras, music, guitar & ipads to keep us busy and entertain ourselves.

First week of October
We expect to START this new sailing adventure , leaving Villeneube-Loubet marina in FRANCE with several waypoints-stops on our way.

Estimated arrival time Las Palmas, SPAIN : November 12th.

As for the Caribbean, will check and see upon arrival at Las Palmas.

START DAY ! Atlantic Rally Cruisers:
GRAN CANARIA - Saint Lucia Direct
November 19th. we estimate 20days of sailing in the Atlantic... let's meet at Rodney Bay latest December 15th!

Will try to keep you UPDATE as much as possible, just remember that in the middle of the sea and big ocean, either we will be very busy sailing, eating or resting.

We will need your encouragements and prays all the way long.

Love you all family and friends
Rosamaria & Marc

HERE WE GO FOR IT : ATLANTIC RALLYE FOR CRUISERS

Hi, we are a Guatemalan and French team and couple in life. We met in Jordan and are married since 1985, with three beautiful daughters Lise, Diane & Andrea.

This is Marc's lifelong dream !

But I've got the sailing virus too... and became a passion to share!

The boat we are sailing on...
TRIAD Xik'nal is our Trimaran Dragonfly 1000, sailing boat built in 1995 (coincidence our last daughter Andrea birth year!), bought in 2015.

Our sailing adventures:

MEDITERRANEAN SEA, FRANCE - ITALY - GREECE
Our first sailing adventure "only the two of us" was in spring 2016: we left Villeneube-Loubet marina for 2 months all the way the Mediterranean sea through Italy then long way to Greece.
We visited great spots, meet lovely people, experienced & struggle with bad weather, some technical problems with TRIAD, but we kept our sailing.
This has been a an amazing & great experience from all perspectives.

We are happy that all our family, friends as well as our coach where really surpised of our sailing improvements and their support was at the top of the top.

After coming back from our first long sailing experience in 2016, Marc enrolled for the ARC 2017 (Atlantic Rallye for Cruisers), Stephane (our coach) will join us on this adventure.

One lesson : Trust your sailing partners, trust your sailing boat, be confident, stay calm and pray, have faith, and keep it up with happiness, as after this experience we realized that life is beautiful, but short and we became so insignificant in the middle of the sea!
